Lee Hyolee is a VS girl- again
That’s VS, not RS.
Lee Hyolee must be doing something right. Vidal Sassoon has renewed their contract with the pop diva for another year. As a result of her party girl CF, Vidal Sassoon water (treatment spray) and wax is being referred to as, “Hyolee water” and “Hyolee wax”.
Vidal Sassoon will release a Summer Hair Collection featuring Hyolee next month.
Say hello to another wannabe girl-group, The B
Another girl-group is under the POPSEOUL! radar.
Although there is absolutely no need for another girl-group, Goodberry Entertainment firmly believes that the world is in desperate need of a girl-group with seven plastic girls, hence the scheduled debut of The B.
The B will release their first single titled “b LOVE” today with two versions of their MV.
Who’s looking forward to their debut?
Rain is a poser
Shinee does Vogue Girl
In the July issue of Vogue Girl Korea, this generation’s Little Red Riding Hood Tae Min from SHINee looks like a deer caught in the headlights on his way to grandmama’s house. His technicolor raincoat doubles as a shield to protect against all potential attacks from big bad wolves.
The other members of the noona-lovin’ boyband also grace the pages of the teeny-boppin’ magazine in equally atrocious outfits. Below are some of their inner thoughts as they posed.
”Guys, nothing says cool like ponchos and bright pink pants.”
”Is it obvious from my hair that I worship Suh In Young?”
”I secretly doze off every time I look down.”
“Does this bowling bag make me look fat?”
Choi Minsoo fails to live up to his promise
Self-exiled actor Choi Minsoo was spotted with his family at Central City, a shopping mall complex in Kangnam over the weekend. When he realized that his cowboy hat wasn’t enough to hide his face as alert citizens noticed him right away, Choi Minsoo fled to the nearest movie theater to escape them.
What ever happened to I’m going to live in exile to punish myself for beating up a senior citizen? As expected, it was nothing more than a PR move to earn some sympathy points.
Choi Minsoo recently moved out of his container box to a shabby house in the picture above and apparently, back to his cozy house in Kangnam.
Spare us the pain, Daesung!
We here at POPSEOUL! already established that Koreans have a horrible taste in music, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to see Daesung’s trot single is already topping the online charts.
I can understand the peninsula’s collective bad taste in music, but why are factory produced pretty boys, well in this case, just a boy singing trot? Didn’t we suffer enough with Super Junior T and balding ajusshis who cater to our parents?
Check out Daesung’s “Look at me Gwi-son”
Daniel Henney wants you
That’s right, the hot Daniel Henney wants you… to look at him. The sexy star sizzles in the July 2008 issue of Elle Magazine (Korea). I was almost drooling looking at the pictures …until I saw the other guy. A guy? What’s with that? And why is the random dude touching Daniel (yes we are on a first name basis) like that? And why is Daniel giving a naughty look into the guy’s camera? Talk about bursting my bubble.
Oh Daniel. I hope you are not what I think you are….
The half-Korean actor has a role in the upcoming Hollywood movie, “X-men Origins: Wolverine” (2009).
Shin Mina shoulders through
Proportions are important if you want to look like you have a small face. All you need are extra wide shoulders like Shin Mina.
Granted, her face is probably already small. This is evident by standing beside her co-stars, On Ju-wan and Yu Gon, and director Kwak Jae-yong. But if the woman knows she has linebacker shoulders, she should refrain from wearing a dress that accentuates them.
The 24 year old actress is probably making On Ju-wan and Yu Gon jealous.
Miss linebacker shoulders attended the opening for the new movie, “My Mighty Princess” (2008) at Yongsan CGV Theaters on June 16th 2008.
Sun Ye and Mighty Mouth’s collaboration produces energy
Hip-hop duo Mighty Mouth’s new song “Energy” features the stringy vocals of Sun Ye from The Wondergirls. Living up to its name, the song is indeed energetic. Unfortunately however, grotesquely overshadowing the energy of the song is Sun Ye’s one-dimensional, super annoying voice.
Mighty Mouth is trying hard to recreate the same magic they had when they featured Yoon Eun Hye in “I Love You”. Though ”Energy” falls short quality-wise, it’s numbing up-tempo beat will appeal to the masses and inevitably result in a nonstop replay frenzy.
